For decades, the company operated as a family-run business, with deep roots in Egypt’s textile and fashion heritage. Until its restructure in 2025, the brand was shaped by a collective family effort. Today, Marie Louis Bishara continues the legacy independently with renewed vision—launching Bishara Textiles and Fashion, a modern evolution of the brand that remains grounded in its history while embracing innovation, sustainability, and global standards.
1961
Bishara Group founded its first weaving and dyeing factory in Zaitoun, Cairo.
1980
Launched BTM for large-scale garment production, becoming a leading menswear brand in Egypt and selling to every retailer.
1989
Marie Louis debuted its first fashion collection and opened the first Marie Louis and BTM store in Egypt, one of 26 stores.
1993
Opened a suiting facility with German and Italian expertise to meet the demand for BTM, the #1 leading suits brand in Egypt. Stores began opening internationally in Kuwait, Germany and Saudi Arabia.
2000
Began exporting garments to the USA.
2000
Expanded exports to the UK and Europe.
2005
Opened a new state-of-the-art production facility.
2008–2015
Marie Bishara began showcasing at Paris Fashion Week as a guest of honor and launched Corporate Fashion, dressing leading hotels, airlines, and entering various industries.
